Julia Taylor, OTR/L | Adult and Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Julia’s passionate care for her patients and wide-ranging knowledge truly sets her apart in her field. Her career in rehabilitation began in 1999 when she became a Physical Therapy Assistant working with adults and children with disabilities. During this time, she came to realize that Occupational Therapy was her true calling.
Julia says, “I have always felt that I did not choose Occupational Therapy, it chose me.”
During her tenure as an Occupational Therapist she has had the pleasure of working with both adult and pediatric patients. She has 10 years of experience in school-based therapy and early intervention. Julia has also worked in home health care, helping people with a variety of diagnoses.
Oregon Neurology is honored to have her as a part of our team, as she offers patients the tools to develop invaluable life skills. Julia helps patients regain the necessary skills to accomplish daily activities and avoid injury. She has the ability to help children, as well as adults, better participate in social situations, improve skills, recover from injury or disability, and assist those that experience physical and cognitive changes. Through the course of a patient’s care, Julia will help to set goals in order to overcome obstacles prohibiting an array of activities.
Julia was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Most of her days were spent outside bicycle riding, swimming, and going to the beach or the Everglades. In 2015, she relocated across the country to Creswell to be closer to family. When not working, she enjoys caring for the hobby farm she and her husband are establishing. In addition to three dogs, they currently have goats, chickens and bees.
