Emily Jaksich, ARNP | Nurse Practitioner
Emily Jaksich has a passion for patient care. Originally from Iowa, Emily and her family recently moved to the Eugene area. She has cared for patients with neurologic disease at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, the state’s only Comprehensive Stroke Center. As an integral member of the stroke team she helped to develop the nurse practitioner role. She worked for several years in a surgical and neuroscience ICU before pursuing her advanced degree. She became a nurse practitioner 5 years ago, specializing in Adult-Gerontological Acute Care.
“One of the things I most enjoy about being a nurse practitioner is the relationships I am able to develop with my patients and their families.” She finds great fulfillment when she helps patients understand the disease process and work to help them live their best life, regardless of their neurologic disease.
Outside of work Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. They are very active and love exploring all of the outdoor activities Oregon has to offer. She also enjoys reading, exercise, and cooking while outside the clinic.
